Getting started with Furniture Painting – a one on one workshop were you will learn how to paint prep and paint furniture the professional way. You will learn with myself, Michelle and Nicola from My Tatty Love. We are experienced professionals within the furniture painting industry and each hold over 10 years experience. Learn our tried and tested methods from our 11 years experience. You will leave with new skills and confidence to tackle more projects. You will learn the following working with professional furniture paint brands, Fusion Mineral Paint and Cornish Mineral Paint-
- Clean and Prep your furniture
- Basic repairs and wood filling
- Hand sanding and using and electric sander
- Paint techniques, how to get a good flat paint finish
- Protecting your furniture, staining and finishing raw wood
- You will receive a starter kit on the day with everything you need to get you started tackling you projects at home.
What you need
Participants are asked to bring a small/medium piece preferably unpainted furniture such as a side table, small coffee table, bedside cabinet, something you can carry with ease. If you have a piece with drawers or doors you will learn more from this.
